You know you’re from a small village when you go to a big city and get a little sad when the cashier doesn’t say “Have a nice day” as you leave
This is something I’ve seen come up a few times in reviews and I’m pretty sure it’s wrong: people keep saying the scene with a bull in Red Notice is bullfighting but I’m almost convinced it isn’t. There are some people dressed in white also running around the arena with the bull so I’m pretty sure it’s that other sport where you’re supposed to take a thassel from between it’s horns or something. It’s a sport a lot of people bring up as an alternative to bullfighting because it doesn’t involve hurting or killing the bull but is still exiting with the potential for people to get murdered by a large animal if you’re into that sort of thing.
I can for the life of me not remember what it’s called though and I’m sure the movie doesn’t portray it exactly right but it was the lack of matador and the people in white that tipped me off to it not being bullfighting.
